TRANSMUTE
A Zine that explores and focuses on change either in form, nature or substance. Each artist will be making a contribution of four artworks of this nature and are free to explore ‘change’ through their prefered medium, including; poetry, illustration, photography and graphic art. An assigned greyscale shade has been allocated to their work. The darkest artworks will be featured first, transitioning through to lightest as the Zine progresses, representing a physical change within the Zine itself.

My artwork is made up of 2 different designs photography and sketching. I combined both concepts with sketches of my family holding scrap paper with photos overlapping the scrap paper to express the change between reality and imagination. I was inspired by this style of artworks from Pinterest.

Change is a consistent thing in every day life. My artwork highlights the small changes we make through each day by illustrating 4 panels of a young girl and her plants. In the first panel she is seen placing a sunflower next to her window, only for it to die and be replaced by something new. It is a small change but life is full of these transitions and always equate to bigger things. Half of the time we are blissfully unaware of how much our lives have evolved.

“type” is an experimentation of texture, meaning and context. the visual potency of lettering provokes audiences to try to “read” what they see infront of them.

My first two artworks are about having a different perspective to see change. For this artwork is a different number of images of the same girl, showing different views. The reason I did this was because we see people from their characteristics and features, however how we see someone differs from person to person.

I am showing the world how far we have come along with cars. From the first car invented to the brand new McLaren P1. The change in technology and time, from the basic bicycle wheels to custom rimmed wheels.

My four artworks are based on a personal and mental change in which I have encountered recently within my own self. The theme of my artworks are the realisation of self acceptance and self discovery. In my first piece I have drawn a woman emerged in a pond with pupula duplex eyes (this is to represent rebirth and enlightenment). I have kept this main running theme through all four of my artworks.
